Practice Case

Office visit
Patient is seen today for her yearly physical with her pediatrician. She is a 14 year old 7th grader at the local junior high school. Since her last visit there has been no significant change and she is within normal range for all physical goals. During the evaluation the patient complained of 3 skin tags located at the left armpit. The skin tags were removed with minimal bleeding at the site. Direction to keep the area clean with soap and water applying topical antibiotic twice a day as needed until healed with direction on signs and symptoms of infection given to patient and parent.

Alicia, I would agree with Carmen as the answer being B, except that 99121 is not a valid code.

Well shoot! I put that in to fast. It was supposed to be 99212. :oops:
