Q&A please explain the spinal column

please explain the spinal column lumbar vertebrae. I know there is a picture in CPT book page 88 Ialso made a note about 7 cervical 12 thoracic 5 Lumbar 2sacral....I know to remember 7 a.m. Breakfast 12 noon lunch 5 p.m. Dinnerbut honestly I don't know what all that means in the guidelines if it says

L 4-s1...with interspaces...how do I figure that out?

Since you know there are 5 lumbar vertebra they would stack up like this
L4
L5
S1

There is no L6 so the next one is L1. Now you can see you have three vertebra and two interspaces. Make sense?

S1

There is no L6 so the next one is L1. Now you can see you have three vertebra and two interspaces. Make sense?
