This is an excellent question for the Q&A. I had a student previously whose MIL had kidney transplant. Once we really got in-depth with the discussion of it I was fascinated on the nuances I learned.
Were you aware that they do not remove a kidney when they do a transplant? The patient ends up with three unless there is a specific reason to remove it such as Ca.
