Opinions wanted re: best coding books & software

Hi all, I'm working for a new center that has no coding software. I also need to get them updated books. I only have the AAPC books that I used as a student. I would like to get opinions from experienced coders who use books and computer encoders at work - which is best and why!
for example, I think I want the guidelines, I want LCD & NCD (this center does a lot of Medicaid and medicare)... all opinions appreciated!

Thanks

Regarding encoders we use both Findacoder and Supercoder. They both have LCD and NCD features. It's best to get a trial of each and try to use them to do you work and compare them.
