Q&A Heart cath coding?

How do I properly code for LT, RT, and RT &LT heart cath , and can I code angioplasty & stent codes so confused please help

Magda, you will use modifier -26 for heart cath whether it is right or left. You can code angioplasty & stent and you would use the following HCPCS modifiers: -RC for right coronary, -LC for left circumflex, and -LD for left anterior descending. These are used to identify the specific coronary arteries that are being treated.
