A case of Ectopic Pregnancy ; In the operation theater she was given intrathecal ( spinal ) morphine for post op pain relief. Then the patient was given General anesthesia for Laparotomy . Can some one tell me how to code this scenario ( ICD-9- CM , CPT Code including Anesthesia Code . Thank you.

A case of ectopic pregnancy ( tubal pregnancy without intrauterine pregnancy ) admitted in our hospital. In the operation theater , anesthesiologist gave her intrathecal ( spinal ) morphine for postoperative pain relief .Then the patient was given General anesthesia for Laparotomy .During the surgery salpingectomy was done. The patient was shifted to Recovery room and later to the post anesthesia care unit . ........
I coded the above situation as follows :-
ICD-9-code : 633.10
CPT 58700 ( Salpingectomy, complete or partial, unilateral or bilateral )
CPT 62311 ( Injection( s )of diagnostic or therapeutic substance ( s ) including anesthetic , anti spasmodic ,opioid, steroid ,other solution)not including neurolytic substances , including needle or catheter placement , includes contrast for localization when performed,epidural or subarachnoid ,lumbar or sacral .
CPT 00840 ( Anesthesia for intraperitoneal procedures in lower abdomen , including laparoscopy , not otherwise specified.
