Q #24: Do your medical coding courses teach how to code or how to pass exam? I did an online medical coding course and I did pass exam, but I’m not comfortable with knowing what and why I am doing something (sorry, does that make sense?)

Well, you know what, you’re not alone; but some of the stuff in coding there’s no way to learn it unless you just get out there and start coding. So, great, you passed the exam, now start coding. Offer to code for free, go into an office and say, “Hey, I need experience. Can I help you get caught up? I’ll do it for free for two weeks.” It’s like, “OK!”
