Q&A Is any one else getting denied payments for billing codes 93458-26,92928

I have been billing heart cath and angioplasty and stent codes 93458-26,-59, 92928 I added modifier 59 to indicated that this were two different procedures but I am still getting denials in the EOB it says that they are bundled codes, So my question is how can I get paid for this two procedures if they are done the same day?

Laureen discussed this question in the August 2013 Q&A Webinar. The answer has to do with the modifiers. You should only use modifier 59 as a last resort. She suggested other modifiers that might be the answer to getting these procedures paid.
